Shane writes, "These are photos of my dad, John Spencer (a.k.a. Big John), in his La-Z-Boy recliner he road out the storm in. Also included are some pictures of the damage to his home which was located on 163 Maple Grove Road. His home was a total loss."

The photos below were sent in by Jane Berry of Rome, Georgia, on February 11, 2208. Jane was working with HSUS (Humane Society of the United states) setting up a temporary shelter so that animals had a safe haven until the owners can reclaim them or a surrender point for strays.
